Bromley 1-0 Morecambe
Friday 18 April 2025 19:05, UK
Michael Cheek’s penalty was enough to secure Bromley a 1-0 victory against 10-man Morecambe to send the Shrimpers a step closer to relegation.
Cheek went close in the opening 10 minutes, curling an effort just over the crossbar with Harry Burgoyne beaten.
Burgoyne then enjoyed a golden patch, turning away Kamarl Grant's effort from distance before producing a fantastic reaction stop to deny Omar Sowunmi's header.

Burgoyne continued to be the difference between the two sides when he denied the on-rushing Danny Imray on the half hour.
However, the Morecambe keeper could do nothing about Cheek's penalty at the start of the second half, as League Two's top scorer smashed it low into the corner for his 22nd goal of the season after Danny Imray had been felled in the area.
The goal woke Morecambe up and Grant Smith had to be at his best to save from Lee Angol and Andrew Dallas. Ashley Charles was then on hand to clear Max Taylor's header off the line as the Shrimpers came close once more.
However, Morecambe's revival was halted after 67 minutes when David Tutonda received his marching orders for a second bookable offence.
The defeat leaves Morecambe eight points adrift at the foot of League Two with three games remaining.
